Doggie/pet Star Wars dress up (since the Anaheim Walk and most stores are pet friendly) and photo ops with droids and costumers. A special Dogobah Park will be setup for the pups to explore and have fun. A DJ will be at the event in the evening to support the boogie.

All proceeds support the Life Companions Foundation.

All county social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Having many adopted pets ourselves, Desert Scum is so happy to be able to support such a noble cause. Ahsoka Tano was adopted (she may have adopted us) around 5 years ago and is stoked to be able to show up with her droid brother 2D and raise awareness and encourage pet adoptions!

Event Summary:

Event was a blast! We had dogs, droids , troopers sith and mandos invading the Anaheim Garden Walk! This was the first time out doggie, Ahsoka, was able to troop with the droid! She got to see where we go when we usually leave her behind to go to events. She was such a good dog! She thought all the toys were just for her in the Dogobah Park and got lots of attention from visitors and the lovely volunteers with the Life Companions Foundation ! What a great cause and event! Keep your eyes peeled on Anaheim Garden Walk/Factory Xtreme social media for additional events!

Southern California Droid builders invaded the Anaheim GardenWalk and Factory Xtreme Saturday evening. Safely interacting with guests, causing mischief and making smiles!

Southern California Droid Builders invaded the Anaheim Garden Walk and Factory Xtreme ! This was a bit of a last minute romp but we were able to catch a lot of innocent bystanders by surprise ! The droids romped around the garden walk outside the Factory Xtreme- dancing to the music, playing in the fog machines and mingling with guests. It was great to get out an about and have some fun with our fellow builders and droids! Visitors had a awesome time taking pictures and interacting with the droids outdoors.

For us Scum Balls, this was our 50th Troop!!!!! R2-2Ds 1st Troop after his completion last April- right when the COVID-19 pandemic started hitting. He has been gathering dust for over a year! Always interesting on a droids first outing to see what is going to go wrong :) 2D did amazingly well! A greeblie fail here and there , some loose leg bolts but he took the rough terrain like a champ!! A job well done to Krankmeister! You find find some R2-2D details on his home page.

All the droids performed awesomely. BB-8 took some brave steps out onto the rough stoneway and did fairly well with his balancing. He lost his head here and there :)
